In Mexico there are thousands of traditions and events that characterize it and where its people have a great time, however a music event called Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC).Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) is an electronic music festival organized by the Insomniac Events company.The festival covers genres such as EDM, House, Dance, Electro, drum and bass, Techno, dance-punk, Hard dance, Dubstep, Trance, Trap and much more. The most popular producers and DJs such as Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Yellow Claw and Tiësto perform at festivals of this type. Starting with the United States (California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Puerto Rico), as well as abroad, including Mexico, United Kingdom, Brazil, India, Japan and South Korea. It is the largest electronic music festival in America, EDC was called the "American Ibiza" in 2010.
In 2009, EDC became a two-day event, and in 2011 a three-day event in Las Vegas that attracted 230,000 people. In 2015 it attracted more than 400,000 for 3 days (135,000 per day).
WHAT IS DONE?
With a great production, EDC is one of the biggest music festivals in the country, this year it has nine stages and expects twice as many people going to the Capital Crown.
To give you an idea of how much it has grown in five years, in its first edition in the city it had four stages, 35 thousand attendees and only occupied eight co-production trucks. Five years later, there are nine stages, 200 thousand assistants and 45 trucks that transport everything from the United States. One of the organizers of EDC is Insomniac, one of the most important entertainment producers in the world.
Besides that you can listen to great musicians, such as A-trak, Ramón Amezcua (Nortec DJ set) or Sotomayor, one of the reasons to go to the EDC 2019 are the mechanical games, the performances that are inside the festival and the pieces of art interactive.
WHAT YOU EAT?
Food and drinks are located in stands within the event, with street vendors carrying water, food and other beverages.
The bars located inside the festival serve food and beer. Service hours are limited. You must be over 18 to consume alcohol (ID required).
Stay hydrated! Fill your Insomniac bottle (get yours at our merch stand), moisturizing backpack or any empty bottle (purchased inside the festival) at our free filling stations. Look for the drop of water on the map of the festival to find the nearest one.
